Website Development Cost in Delhi (2026): What You Actually Pay For

What a website costs in Delhi in 2026 — typical ranges for business sites, e-commerce and web apps, what drives the price, and hidden costs to check.

By Proshala Team · Published · 3 min read

Short answer: in Delhi in 2026, a professionally built small business website typically costs somewhere between ₹25,000 and ₹1,00,000, an e-commerce store between ₹40,000 and ₹3,00,000+, and a custom web app from ₹2,00,000 upward. Template sites from freelancers can cost less than ₹15,000. The range is wide because "a website" can mean very different amounts of work.

These are typical market ranges we see when clients bring us other quotes — not our price list. Our own starting packages are on the pricing page.

What drives the price of a website?

Four things account for most of the difference between a ₹15,000 quote and a ₹1,50,000 quote.

1. Number of unique page designs

A five-page site where every page uses the same layout is quick to build. A site with a distinct homepage, service pages, location pages, a blog and a booking flow needs more design and development time. Count templates, not pages: twenty service pages built from one well-designed template cost far less than twenty unique designs.

2. Who writes the content

Content is the most underestimated part of a website. If you supply clear, final text and good photos, the build moves fast. If the developer has to interview you, write the copy and source images, that is real work — and it is usually what makes a site actually convert.

3. Features and integrations

Each of these adds cost because it adds logic and testing:

  • Online booking connected to a calendar
  • Payments (Razorpay, UPI, COD rules)
  • WhatsApp Business API automation
  • CRM, Google Sheets or IndiaMART lead integration
  • Member or student logins
  • Multiple languages

Custom web app / portal₹2,00,000+6–14 weeks

What hidden costs should you check?

Before you compare quotes, ask each developer about these:

  1. Domain — renewed yearly; must be registered in your name.
  2. Hosting — monthly or yearly; who pays, and in whose account?
  3. Premium plugins or themes — some have yearly licences.
  4. Shopify apps — many charge monthly.
  5. Maintenance — who updates, backs up and secures the site after launch?
  6. Changes after launch — how are they priced?
  7. WhatsApp and AI usage — automation tools have usage-based costs.

How to compare two website quotes fairly

Ask every company for the same three things in writing: a page list, a features list, and an ownership statement (domain, hosting, code and content belong to you). Then compare like for like. A cheap quote that excludes content, SEO setup and tracking often costs more over a year than a higher quote that includes them.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to get a business website in Delhi?

A template-based site from a freelancer or a DIY builder is cheapest upfront. It can work for a very small business, but check who owns the domain and hosting, how fast the site loads on a phone, and whether anyone will fix it when it breaks.

Is a monthly fee normal for a website?

Some ongoing cost is normal: domain renewal, hosting, and optionally a maintenance plan. Be wary of packages where the site itself is rented monthly and you lose it if you stop paying.

Why do two agencies quote very different prices for the same website?

Usually because they are not quoting the same thing. One may include custom design, content writing, SEO setup and tracking; the other may be a template with your logo. Ask both for a page list and a written list of inclusions.
